“There is a world of difference between a massage
performed in a meditative mood and a massage done just as a job…
Without such higher consciousness, massage becomes mechanical
and loses much of its power. ”
Thai Yoga Therapy
Thai Yoga Therapy is a healing art, the union of yoga and massage.
Thai Yoga Therapy offers the receiver the benefits of yoga, massage, energy work, reflexology, acupressure and meditation. The giver is led by metta, the desire to bestow loving kindness, and karuna, compassion for the recipient’s physical and emotional pain.
Thai Yoga Therapy is applied to a fully clothed body. The Thai Yoga Therapist uses her hands, feet, elbows, and knees to apply a gentle pressure in a rhythmic flow to stretch, twist and massage you. You will feel relaxed with relief from pain and tension, enjoy increased energy levels and flexibility and have a deepened connection between the body, mind, and soul. Yoga experience or flexibility is not required.
Deep relaxation clears the mind and enables the body to heal itself. When the body is relaxed healing occurs at the cellular level. It nourishes one’s soul so the Self heals the self.
Joseph Pilates worked with his clients on pilates apparatus, specialized equiptment. Pilates Apparatus is useful for beginners to support them in the ideal alignment while exercising, and it is a wonderful way to strengthen for advanced students as well, giving them additional challenge beyond the mat.
Thai Foot Massage
Thai foot massage is an ancient therapeutic technique passed down by generations of Buddhist monks incorporating elements of India’s Ayurvedic medicine with Japenese shiatsu and Chinese reflexology. Thai foot massage restores balance within the body’s 72,000 sen (energy lines). According to Chinese Medicine, the sensory nerves of the internal organs that spread throughout the body are mainly gathered around the feet. There are 10 major energy lines or channels that run through the body from the top of the head to the soles of the feet. Pressure points on the feet represent the end points of these energy lines and it’s these points that are manipulated to clear blockages and improve energy flow around the body.
