Sound Bath Meditation

Cost: $35 | In-Person

Sound Healing is an ancient and powerful form of energy medicine. It works through the Laws of Physics to correct and restore vibrations in the mind and body that are not at their natural states of resonance. Weakened and blocked vibrations in the body are the root cause of disorders; this practice has restorative benefits that have been used around the world for thousands of years.

Lying comfortably on yoga mats, guests will be guided by the vibrations of Gongs, crystal bowls, and other healing instruments into a state of meditation, relaxation, and possibly heightened sensations. The frequencies coming from the instruments are correcting and rebalancing areas where there are weakened vibrations and / or energetic blockages. No meditation experience is necessary; just lie down, relax and experience it.

  • Participants often drift into a state of altered consciousness (meditative state). The central nervous system is also rebalancing as the stress response is lowered, and the Parasympathetic side of the nervous system is stimulated to produce more dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. This is detoxifying the mind and body, accelerating the body's healing mechanisms and immune system function, stimulating production of grey matter in the brain, lowering blood pressure and heart rate, increasing oxygenation throughout the whole system, and resetting cells to their natural patterns. It literally works on a cellular and subatomic level to restore every internal function.

There can be physical sensations, visual sensations, or none; each person's experience will be different. Some will likely fall asleep.

  •

A yoga mat or something comparable to lie on, a pillow for under the head and the knees is recommended, a blanket; whatever you need to be comfortable lying on the floor for an hour. Eye coverings are great to bring as well.

  • We encourage guests to wear something they can stay warm in. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and avoid heavy meals and alcohol beforehand.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Anyone with a recent head injury, history of multiple seizures, or currently experiencing pregnancy complications should avoid attending. Waiver forms will be supplied for each guest.

instructor: Cary Ballou

Cary Ballou grew up in Richmond, Virginia and moved to Arizona in 1999. As she made her way through decades of corporate work, oftentimes she felt depressed, depleted, unfulfilled, and wondered what her true purpose really was in life. In 2017, Cary attended her first Sound Healing session. After that life-changing, transformative experience, Cary graduated with a double certification from Sound Healing Academy International and started Shanti Sound to assist in bringing the healing powers of sound therapy to the public. Her mission is to serve the collective with her passion for helping others and to increase awareness about this ancient form of medicine.
